Abuse of authority creates a society in which men know
most exercise their freedom. The unethical behavior of politicians
affects democracy in its foundations. Acts which bear witness to such
behavior cannot be
unmarked and reduced to a series of isolated acts,
but should be seen as symptoms of a deeper malaise. It must therefore
fight against these derivatives in a structural manner, relying on
morality. Because the freedom of each is a value in itself, but it
cannot exercise that provided that it does not infringe on the freedom
of others, as advocated Kant. However, the unethical behavior is
intertwined with the manipulation and blackmail.
